Reflection on Inquiry

For these assignments I had to interview a person by asking questions about a particular subject. For my first interview, we had to ask our classmates questions regarding how they learned to read. We first recorded the interview and then wrote down our questions and answers on paper. I asked Dave questions like who were his literary sponsors, how they helped him to become literate, and the process they took to become more literate today. This assignment went along with our other assignment in which we had to write about the process on how we became literate. My second assignment on inquiry went along with our assignment of our discourse community. I chose to interview my brother because he is also a part of the discourse community of soccer. Some of the questions I asked were What is his role in this discourse community, What is the purpose of this discourse community, and What is the goal of this discourse community. These assignments gave me experience on how to interview a person and get enough information and answers from it.
