There are 25 students in the class but only 18 of them like MSU. What percent of the class likes MSU?

What do we know? The number of kids in the class and the number that like MSU What do we want to know? The ratio of students out of 100.

18 students like MSU = X 25 students in the class 100

Cross multiply. 100(18)=25x 1800=25x 72=x

Then,

72 students like MSU = 72% of students like MSU 100 students total
