A discourse community that I am interested in observing would be the Christian community. Christianity is very broad which is why it can be categorized into denominations and Catholicism. I am going to be observing the Baptist denomination; and am mostly interested in this community because I was raised in a Christian household, making me an insider. Because I am familiar with this community, I will need to be aware of how outsiders view the community so that I will be able to reflect on it on my project. I am deciding to carry out my observations when I go to church on Sundays, and while Im communicating with other Christians who I can relate to.
