1984 displays Orwells vision of the results of totalitarianism. His political beliefs and fears often come up in Orwells writing. For example, some believe Animal Farm was a reference of Stalinism denied this. 1984 shows aspects of the social and political life of both the United Kingdom and the United States. 1984 is said to be about the United Kingdom of 1948 when the British economy was poor and the empire was dissolving. He also worked for the ministry of information in the United Kingdom.

Orwell had very strong political opinions, and made predictions about how the world would change if the current political situation continued. This is the world of 1984 He was very paranoid about the advancement of technology because he feared that the government would abuse the new power that science provided.
