How to Install Lotus Notes Client.

Note(make sure that you have entered following into your host file 203.132.140.130 amtrexhitachi amtrexhitachi/ahal

1.In your Lotus Notes Client cd you will find INSTALL diractory. 2.Double click on install.exe in install directory.

Fig 1.1 3.Prior to starting the installation it will prompt with the agreement accept the agreement shown in fig 1.1. Then it will start the installation of the Lotus Notes Client .It will ask some user related information. Provide the information. Shown in fig 1.2

4.Click on the next button.This will take you to another window as shown in fig 1.3

5.Click on next the installation process will prompt with a screen as shown in fig 1.4.In it select Customize features - Manual install

The drive should be c drive only.The folder name has to be notes

6. After click the next button It will ask you to select the things you want to install. Install only the select ed features as shown in fig1.5.Those are Notes Workstation, Personal Data Files, Notes Modem, Document Database s , Notes Help Lite, Attachment Viewer , Java Support files, Java Internationalization.

7.In next step it will ask the place where the shortcut should be made in programme folder.Shown in fig1.6.Leave it as the default selection and click on the next button to install.

10.After the end it will prompt with the congratulation message and will ask you do you want to launch notes now.Click on yes button. It will prompt you the configration window as shown in fig 1.9

Make sure this check box is checked.

Click Network connection (via LAN) 11.It will ask for the id file.Give the path to the id file it will ask the password.Give the password after this it will ask you the server name give the name as amtrexhitachi/ahal . As shown in fig 1.10

12. After providing the information it will do certain setup and will prompt for the time zone settings. Select the ZE5b(5/12 hours east GMT).as shown in fig 1.11

13 Your setup is coplete will be the final message.You can use the lotus notes client.
