It also contains new material on the state of the labor movement as well as on trends and patterns in union membership. There is a chapter on negotiation process which addresses the following topics: mutual gains bargaining, principled and traditional negotiations, joint gains and win-win agreements; criticisms of mutual gains bargaining; and the transformation of the traditional labor management system and its impact on mutual gains bargaining. This book also discusses the ethical and unethical conduct and the collective bargaining process. Some of the topics are ethical behavior in negotiations, distributive and integrative tactics and strategies, trust and ethics, the pre-negotiation ethics workshop, two requirements of ethics, and the respect for individual rights.
