The manuscript parts for the Duetto for flute and violin (Wq. 140/H. 598) are housed in the Giedde Collection of the Royal Danish
Library in Copenhagen. The folios for the parts are labeled 1 Flyte Duette of C.P.E. Bach/6 ditto of Hoffman/6 ditto of Reinhards;
the violin folio has the emendation Violino & Flauto 2do. Both parts are headed Duetto C.F.E. Bach.
Slurs and dynamic markings in the original are inconsistent. The copyist uses both f and for (which I have retained), identical
passages are phrased differently, beginning and ending points of slurs are not always clear, and some obvious accidentals and
dynamic indications are missing). I have added a number of editorial (dotted) slurs in parallel passages; a slash indicates a slur
which is original, but contradicts a similar passage elsewhere. Editorial dynamics are given in brackets and accidentals are indicated
above the note.
