Capstone Proposal Interest: Most implosions currently in demolitions are multiple explosions placed at specific points causing a building to fall inward upon its self. By definition this would be considered an implosion but we are in the process of designing/developing a device that will accomplish an implosion without use of outside resources. The mechanical aspect of this project has gained the interest of both of us. Having the opportunity to design a device such as this will allow us to maintain our interests, while also benefiting the community as a whole. Purpose: Goals Make it easier for a community to expand To create a lower risk work environment Creating a reusable/cost effective device Prevention for our device being used as a weapon Environmental friendliness Make an implosion device for building demolition Helps limit the excess of any harmful material (dust, debris, toxins, ect.) Speeds up cleaning time frames by localizing all materials in one central spot
