Material Base This can #e anything. 1/ve seen talismans scratched into pieces of leather" engraved on rings $something to consider for yo r magical ring perhaps'" inscri#ed on e)pensive pendants" tattooed on the magician" painted onto pots" and even painted onto light # l#s. 1f yo loo! at a #oo! on traditional magic" yo will notice that many materials are ascri#ed to different areas of magic" s ally along a planetary theme $for e)ample" in most systems gold is attri# ted to the s n" which r les over partic lar areas s ch as health" energy" some types of wealth" etc.'. 1f yo r o tcome fits in with one of these areas of infl ence" it is worth considering sing the traditional materials as they have #een in se for cent ries and have esta#lished a sym#olic presence in o r collective nconscio s. 3hilst this is an advantage" it is not a determinant of yo r s ccess. 2et/s say" for now" yo have decided to draw yo r talisman on paper.
