FBLA Explained
• FBLA-PBL is the world's premier student business association. Our
mission is to bring business and education together in a positive
working relationship through innovative leadership and career
development programs.
Benefits Described
• Travel to Corpus Christi and Nashville, TN.
• Meet new people and learn from a new guest speaker every month.
• Impress colleges and beef up your resume with awards, honors, and
leadership positions.
• Make a difference through our non-profit partners like March of
Dimes.
• Benefit your future while having fun.
Local Goals Briefed
• Compete with Cinco and Seven Lakes for the most members in the
area (400+ members).
• Qualify for the Outstanding Chapter Award from Nationals.
• Gain positive attention from the media to allow more opportunities
for both charity and FBLA .
Guest Speaker Introduced (Afternoon Only)
• Sheila Mullings discussed her experience in Fort Worth last year for
State touching on the workshops she attended, the friendships she
formed, and the memories she made.
Membership Explained
• Blue applications along with $25 membership fee ($35 with a T-
shirt) due to October 30, 2009.
• Applications may be picked up or turned in to Room 114 or one of
the officers.
• Unless otherwise noted, meetings will be held the third Wednesday
of every month.
• Attend the next meeting with all of your friends on September 15,
2009 in the Mini.
