Reason with Shapes and Their Attributes

3.GA.1 Shapes in different categories (rhombuses, rectangles, etc.) may share attributes (having four sides). Ex. Rhombuses and rectangles have 4 sides. Shared attributes can define a larger category. Ex. 4-sided shapes are called quadrilaterals. Some quadrilaterals do not belong to any sub-category. 3.GA.2 Partition shapes into parts with equal areas. Express the area of each part as a unit fraction of the whole. Ex. Partition a shape into 4 parts with equal area, and describe the area of each part as of the area of the total shape.
