Tuba Instructions:

1. Use this sheet and the "Transposition of Scales #2" sheet to fill in the "What note do I start on?" section of your scale sheets. 2. Each key is listed on the "Transposition of Scales" sheets. The first note listed for each key is the CONCERT PITCH. Notice that this pitch is the same for all the instruments. The second pitch is the pitch that your instrument would play. For example, when a CONCERT C is called for, a trumpet player would play a D. 3. Now find your instrument, which is listed along the left-hand side of each page. Use this line to fill in each box on the "What note do I start on?" page with the note you will start each scale on. Just locate each key on these "Transposition of Scales" sheet and transfer your pitch to the "What note do I start on?" box.
