    VENT STACK PIPE Vent Stack Pipe a pipe placed vertically or nearly so and connected to the traps of plumbing fixtures in such a manner as to ventilate them and prevent the water seal from being siphoned out of them. VERTICAL PIPE Any pipe or fitting that makes an angle of 45 or less with the vertical. DOWNSPOUT Downspout a pipe on the side of a building that carries rain water down from the roof to the ground. DRAINAGE PIPE Drainage Pipe a pipe use to conveys sewage, rainwater or other liquid wastes to a point of disposal.
