Emerald Tree Boa vs.

Turquoise-browed Motmot

There are many similarities between the Emerald Tree Boas and Turquoise-browed Motmots even though they are very different. One similarity is that both the snake and the bird can catch their prey mid-flight either while they are flying or their prey is flying!. The difference is that the Emerald tree boa eats bats and more commonly! birds" whereas Turquoise-browed Motmots eat insects# butterflies" bees" dragonflies and beetles.

$nother thing that they have in common is that both animals mostly stay still. But as soon as they start moving they have completely different body movements. The Turquoise-browed Motmot can fly in a rapid or wavy motion! as well as walk and" or hop. %n contrast the Emerald Tree Boa will wiggle their body side to side slithering! and will also make quick lunging motions when catching prey.

$ final resemblance between them is where they live. Both organisms can be found by rivers and are arboreal species which means they prefer living up high. &hat's different about where they live is that the Emerald Tree Boa can be found in the $ma(on and lives in primary or secondary vegetation as well as swampy forests though the Turquoise-browed Motmots prefer to live in less dense forests or

clearings in the )aribbean. $s you can see both Emerald Tree Boas and Turquoisebrowed Motmots have a lot though they still have many differences.
