BACKYARD CAMPING CEREMONY

KEEP THE CAMPFIRE BURNING TON: A pleasant evening to each and everyone. Change is the only thing that is constant in this world. We have to recognize this and adjust to it if progress is to be achieved. The concept of scouting as a movement gives it a dynamic personality that makes change intrinsic to the concept. It therefore changes as the environment changes, as people, change, as times change. HAROLD: The scouting program for the 90s is a revived and updated program breathing life into a merging of Filipino folkways and the cardinal principles of scouting laid down by the founder, Lord Baden Powell, relevant to the present situation in the Philippines and in the whole world, reflecting the needs, interest and aspirations of our youth, and responding the visions of our leaders. TON: We welcome you for this evenings program, the backyard camping ceremony. HAROLD: Let us give thanks and praise to our Almighty God.____________________will lead us a prayer. TON: The origin of camp songs can be trace to a particular time and culture in history. Verse was taken from print, memories or passed down orally. Lyrics speak of experience and illustrate cultural nuisances. New lyrics were embellished from the traditional song. Words were pertinent to a circumstance or motivation. Camp songs have always been sung in gatherings like the backyard camping with each person playing an integral part in either its refrain or its entirely. HAROLD: And now let us keep the campfires burning. To lead us in singing entitled campfires burning are the following sisters, namely Michelle, Lynn, Glenda, Liza and Gracia. YEARNING FOR THE SCOUTS SONGS AND YELLS HAROLD: Moving on, may I respectfully request the following sisters namely Celicidad, Mailene, Josephine Caugiran, Josephine Alcaire, Rosemarie and Josie in yearning for the scouts songs and yells. ALL SET TO SHOWCAST TALENT TON: Scouting has a lot to offer, from nothing to something, from service to leadership and from talents to skills. Truly indeed, that scouting has given true value of human nature. HAROLD: And this night may we amaze on the dazzling and enchanting beauty of the scouts from each patrol as they give undeniable beauty for this nights event. TON: Now, to you dear scouts let us welcome the Lakandula and Lakanbini of Cristo Rey East Elementary School 2011 to be followed by their production number.
