4.3 :(i) Possess a Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering at least in Second Class or
(ii) Possess a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering at least in Second Class and have passed sections A and B of AMIE (India),
or
(iii) Possess a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering at least in Second Class; and thereafter
(iv) Possess professional experience in a position of responsibility or experience of teaching in any recognised Technical Institute not below the
level of Secondary School or combined professional and teaching experience, for not less than two years, in the case of candidates
possessing the academic qualification mentioned in sub-clause (i) and (ii) above, or not less than six years in the case of candidates
possessing the qualification mentioned in sub-clause (iii) above provided that in such cases the six years period should include two years
experience in Administration of Craftsman Training Scheme/ Apprenticeship Training Scheme/ Technical high School;
Provided that :(a) The age limit may be relaxed by Government on the recommendation of the Commission in favour of candidates possessing exceptional
qualifications or experience or both.

(b) If the candidates having experience for prescribed period are not available in sufficient number, then those having experience of a shorter
period (to the extent 40%) may also be considered,
(c) Notwithstanding anything contained in para (i),(ii),(iii) and (iv), if any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number
of candidates possessing the requisite higher basic academic qualifications or experience are not available to fill up the vacancies reserved for
candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, converts to Buddhism, Scheduled Tribes, De-notified Tribes or Nomadic tribes, then the
Commission may, in the case of such selection, relax the requirement in respect of the class in the degree or diploma or the period of experience
(to the extent 40%) or both setout therein and select suitable candidates belonging to such Castes or Tribes.
