A totalitarian government is a government of absolute power. It is run in a dictatorial/ centralized way. A totalitarian government always has military presence and has control under all aspects of life. 3. How did Britain and France appease Hitler? A. Britain and France didnt want another war, so they gave Hitler what he wanted to avoid conflict. Hitler was just testing how much he could get away with. 4. Why did the newly established democracies of Europe have trouble surviving in the years after World War 1? A. World War I led to economic instability & political instability. Fascism and Communism started making democratic leaders look corrupt. 5. How did technology change daily life after World War I? A. After World War I, many new inventions became very popular. The telephone, wireless communication, improved car engines, and aircraft were all huge advances in technology at the time.
