Overview

This document contains instructions (followed by the screen shots) for any instructor using Elseviers new instructor site, textbooks.elsevier.com. By registering at this site, you will be able to browse for books in your area, and ccess exclusive textbooks com!anion material "iew the full text online #e$uest !a!er%based ins!ection co!ies, and &heck on the status of your re$uests.

Functionality

This user guide will walk you through the ste!s for 'etting access to a sub(ect area for browsing #e$uesting a !rint co!y of a textbook )btaining access to e%ins!ection books #e$uesting instructor materials, and &hecking the status of your re$uests. *n order to browse for books, youll need to register for access to the a!!ro!riate sub(ect areas. The table below describes the ste!s in that !rocess.

Action Enter the site address, textbooks.elsevier.com, and hit Enter. Result , -ou are at the .ome /age for the site. 1croll down to the #egistration area, and &lick on Register to Use, to the #egistration form. &om!lete the form, noting that re$uired fields are !receded by a red asterisk, and &lick on O, which will bring you to 34y 5eskto!,6 as well as alert your textbook re!resentative to your re$uest. Note, -ou will be !rom!ted for any missing or incorrect information. -ou will receive an email message from your textbook re!resentative, a!!roving the re$uest and granting you access.

)nce you have registered and been a!!roved, you may select from the following o!tions on the 4y 5eskto! !age, 8ind out who your Elsevier sales re! is, and email the re! right from this screen Browse by sub(ect area (the books are in chronological order by !ublication date9 you may change the order by clicking aut#or, title or $SB%) "iew electronic co!ies of books #e$uest !rint co!ies of books &heck on the status of your re$uest, and lert Elsevier about your decision to ado!t one of our books. -ou may locate a !articular title by browsing through a sub(ect area, described in the table below. Note, 8or security reasons, access is granted to one sub(ect area at a time. *f you have an interest in more than one sub(ect, youll want to re$uest access for any additional areas individually. Step + 0 2 7 Action &lick on the sub(ect area of interest. 8ind the book you would like to review by searching or scrolling. &lick on the title, which will bring you to that books !age. -ou may choose the following o!tions at this !oint, dd this title to your 5eskto! by clicking on A&& to "esk. #e$uest a !rint co!y of the book. "iew an online version of the book if available. #e!ort that you are ado!ting the book. "iew any accom!anying instructor materials.

Re'uest a print copy

#e$uesting a !rint co!y of the book will entail your com!leting the form, and submitting it by clicking o. Note, This information is re$uired in order to validate the re$uest, ensuring that students cannot attem!t to secure instructor materials.

*f a text is available for viewing online, you can re$uest it by clicking on the e)inspection copy link beneath 3)nline &o!y.6 (*f electronic files are not available, you will not see online viewing as an o!tion.) Result, The screen will contain the cover of the textbook on the right, with the cha!ters listed on the left. )nce you click the *+, sign to the left of the cha!ter heading, the text content for that cha!ter will a!!ear.

By re!orting your decision to ado!t an Elsevier title, you will $ualify for additional resources and materials. -ou can re!ort the ado!tion by clicking on the link beneath 3#egister -our do!tion,6 Sen& an email re'uest.

Result, This selection will bring you to a blank )utlook email message tem!late, addressed to your textbook re!resentative. *f you need any other information or materials in su!!ort of this ado!tion, you will want to !rovide that information in this email.
