Exhibit: homework Benchmark: Academic Skill: English Other then history, English is another weakness of mine.

This assignment just shows what I need to improve on. Identifying clauses and identifying independent clauses may have been my struggle in English my sophomore year at Jonesville. I wanted to use this assignment as my choice of work because it clarifies my weakness in the class. I am no good at English whatsoever.

When I took English 11 online, it wasn't as difficult for me, but I still struggled because my weakness is that I cant read and that's what was mainly about. I passed with a 75% so I was content with that grade, although I would have really liked to get at least a B in the class. I still have to take the second part of English 11 next semester, and knowing this isn't my best subject, I have a goal set to do really well and to get a better grade then what I did in the first part of the class.

English will be important to my future because I will need communication skills in whatever job I have in my future. Communication skills are cited as an important decisive factor. Without being able to communicate in a written or oral way, we wouldn't effectively be able to compete in the workplace. I'll have to write resumes, cover letters, fax papers, make schedules and research in my future. Employers will judge you by the way you communicate with them. So taking English will only help you.
