Ella Hennessee

Ella Hennessee, the daughter of Russ and Sondra Hennessee of Easley, is in the fourth grade at East End Elementary. Ella has been taking guitar lessons from Susan Ware-Snow for two-and-a-half years through the Evening Music Program at the Easley location. She began singing with her Papa J, Dennis Smith, when she was four and has traveled all over the state singing to church groups, civic organizations, and festivals from crowds as small as a few to several hundred. Last year, she won 3rd place in the Pickens County has Talent Contest, and recently participated in the Smileys Acoustic Cafe Open Mic Contest in downtown Greenville. Ellas interest in music increased about the same time she began guitar lessons through the Evening Music Program, which is sponsored by P.O.S.A.M. (Preserving Our Southern Appalachian Music).
