A poem reacting against this constant babble which is human society. City streets, metros, bars, clubs. All of them full of meaningless sounds. Scent is subtle and triggers the subconcious, sight is less intrusive, we hide behind our eyes, we on one side they on another, touch is more controllable, we can decide who or what and where we touch, taste is even more intimate, but sound penetrates our mind like a dentist's drill.

The deaf despise the voiced
Refuse to sign with them Feel contempt for their clumsy attempts To communicate without the word The deaf despise the voiced Because they know that voice is a wall That stands between a man and truth That stands between me and you
Psychotic voices are born
As all voices are born And grow and deform and die And give rise to a new generation of psychotic verbs And give rise to a new generation of twisted words Lies and half truths to confuse Sincerity dripping poison Dropping from the tongue of the worm
