1.1 General The diesel engine shall be off the four stroke stationary rotor cooled, cold starting type complying with the requirements of BS 649 or equivalent standard. The engine shall be directly to the generator. a. Governing system The design and adjusment of the governing system shall be calculated to the ensure stable governing. And over speed trip device shall be provide. The speed of the unit shall be adjustable from the local control panel, over a range +-5% from the normal engine operating speed. The speed droped characteristic over the load a range from zero-load .shall be adjustable from 100-105% of rated speed. The maksimum variation in speed on full load rejection shall not cause an over speed tripof the engine.
