Ch 8, sl st into 1st ch to form a ring. Round 1: Ch 1, work 12 dc into ring, join with a sl st into 1st dc. Fasten off.

Round 2: Join a new colour into any dc, ch 1, work 1 dc! into the same stitch, * work 1 dc into the next stitch, ch 11, 1 dc into the same stitch, work 1 dc into the next stitch, ch 1, 1 dc into the next stitch, repeat from * around, omitting last 1 dc into the next stitch and join with a sl st into the rst dc.

Round 3: * Work 18 dtr (wrap wool twice around hook) into the 11 ch loop, sl st into the 1-ch space of the previous round, repeat from * around, join with a sl st to end.! Fasten off.

Round 4: Work a round of dc in a contrasting colour as such: Work 9 dc up one side of the petal, ch 3, work 9 dc down the other side of the petal, work 1 dc into ch 1 space of round two, continue around, join with a sl st to end. Fasten off.
