To troubleshoot & optimize network performance To streamline, automate, and customize engineering best practices To create on-the-fly new features and applications
Gladiator
To provide the user with an efficient set of troubleshooting and optimization tools that can evolve with the changing needs of the cellular network. The platform features include:
File converter
To interface various formats of data produced by different types of measurement equipment. In practice, a cellular system engineer works with data collection equipment that either comes from various vendors or performs measurements of different network interfaces. As a result, the formats of produced log data files may be substantially different. The role of the File converter is to provide an interface of the Gladiator software package to various measured data formats and perform their conversion into the format used internally. File converter consists of two utilities: a Conversion plan definition and File conversion schemas. Multiple files can be converted at the same time and easily merged for further processing.
1. Post processing and optimization dashboards for all major access technologies 2. An Embedded Application Development Suite for adding new features, process customization and analysis automation. 3. A SQL based engine with enhanced processing speed. 4. Multi-threaded built-in applications for processing large volumes of data.
Database
All data necessary for the analyses of the measurements are grouped and organized into a Gladiator project database. The project data belong to several different categories listed as: measured data files, description of the cellular system architecture, overlays used for mapping display vector based geo-data, workspaces (collections of maps, graphs, charts and tables used in data processing).
Technology toolboxes
The toolboxes are technology specific analyses and troubleshooting optimization dashboards. They contains a set of predefined routines designed to help an engineer in accomplishing some common data analysis tasks. These routines are built on top of the Gladiator development platform and utilize Gladiators data mining, manipulation, and display functionality. By using functions from the toolbox, many data processing tasks may be automated and accomplished through a minimal number of steps. Minimum computing platform Operating system: Microsoft Windows Vista/ XP/2003/2000 CPU: Intel Pentium IV 2GHz or equivalent (Intel Core2 Duo or Quad recommended) Hard disk: 300MB for installation + space for data storage Memory: 1GB or more (2GB recommended)
The Custom design center presents users with a full set of easy-to-use tools to create their own custom reports and analyses. Reports can be easily generated to present statistical information, KPIs, custom filters, histograms, and more. Tools for generating and formatting tables, graphs, histograms, and maps are available to allow users to easily configure the format and layout of their custom reports. Users are able to create reports in either Microsoft Excel xls spreadsheets or in flexible HTML documents that can be viewed in any standard web browser and posted online for easy viewing throughout the team. Custom-generated reports can be easily shared between team members streamlining standard processes and improving workflow.
