It can be that you have always had a general interest in this topic, or maybe this topic directly affects you or someone you know. Why is this topic important to learn about? What makes it significant enough to spend an entire semester researching?

Describe the type of research you will conduct to find your information (internet research, interviews, observations, books, etc.)

Take your description section and elaborate. In what order will you research your topic? What search terms will you use to find the best information? Who do you plan on interviewing for your project? What questions will you ask them? The more specific the better. What kind of problems do you anticipate having in the research process? How will you work around these problems.
