The Surface Safety Valve (SSV) is used to
shut in the well ow upstream of the choke manifold in case of an emergency. SSVs are operated by the Emergency Shutdown (ESD) system. The ESD system enables eld operators to shut down the well ow from remote points during testing operations. Shutdown is achieved by releasing pneumatic pressure from the ESD loop which in turn releases pressure from the SSV actuator. The actuator has a fail close conguration. The SSV will close once the pressure is released from the actuator. The SSV is equipped with a transportation frame with pad eyes for ease of shipping to offshore/onshore installations. SURFACE SAFETY VALVE SSV-1111-A Note: Various sizes and congurations available.
