    1. Patient side Plano Lens becomes unclear. Lenses should be inspected and/or cleaned after every patient The Plano glass window on the patient side frequently becomes dirty. It is recommended to use denatured alcohol sparingly to clean the lens. Use a circular motion starting in the center of the lens working your way out to the periphery.

    Another reason may be due to the lenses becoming fogged by the patient when positioned. To relieve this, adjust or utilize the forehead rest to allow circulation for the patient. Note: Be cautious of altering the vertex distance excessively. In some climates you may choose to remove the Plano window using the tools provided with your vision tester.
