Amy Cohen Banker

Marc Chagall declared:"Color is all. When color is right, form is right.

Color is everything;color is vibration like music." Displaying a dazzling
understanding of the synonymous nature of color, music and
movement,Amy
Cohen Banker orchestrates a melody of vibrant abstract images which
capture
the sonorous,dynamic concepts of life.

Brilliantly imbuing her lyrical art with culturally relevant, rich color

tenacity,Ms.Banker is deeply influenced by important cultural figures.
A maestro
of the color palette,Ms. Banker is a virtuoso painter, employing zestful
brushstrokes
which are instrumental in harmonizing the inter-relationship between
art,music,
literature and history.

Ms. Banker's musical canvases are fortissimo notes of deeply hued

expression, singling with a color enriched symphony of syncopated
rhythms and staccato beats revealing a poetic foundation which unite
the physical and spiritual world. Her art communicates choruses of
song which reverberate with themes of
inner restoration, survival and the continuous balance between reality
and myth.
Replete with a labyrinth of metaphorical images and distinct
references to great
composers,writers and artists,such as Elliott Carter,Leo
Tolstoy,WIlliam Cullen
Bryant and WIlliam Schuman, Ms. Banker's symbolic, emotional
compositions invite
a spiritual dialogue as her exuberant colors pulsate and sway in unison
with a tempo of intense excitement.
