CONTRAINDICATION
NURSING CONSIDERATION 1.Assess for liver and renal dysfunction 2. Culture infection, and arrange sensitivity tests before and during therapy if expected response is not seen. Warning: 3. Do not mix with aminoglycoside solutions, administer these drugs separately. 4. Powder and reconstituted solution darken with storage. 5. Have Vit. K available in case hypoprothrombinemia occurs 6. Discontinue if hypersensitivity occurs
CNS infections
CNS: Headache, dizziness, the thargies, paresthesias GI: nausea, vomiting, anorexia, abdominal pain, flatulence, psuedomembranous colitis, liver toxicity

GU: Nephrotoxicity
