A local ins tallation will be performed if launched without root access. If you are unable to execute the Linux installer from the CD-ROM, your CD-ROM mi ght be mounted in 'noexec' mode (a security measure which prevents executable fi les from being run from a media). Please refer to your distribution's instructio ns to disable the 'noexec' mode, or copy the content of the CD-ROM on your hard drive, and run setup.sh from there. libgtk 1.2 may need to be installed, it should be provided with your distributio n of Linux.
