Introduction
During ground shaking there can be
Sieve Analysis for sand and coarse aggregate Specific gravity of sand Bulk density of coarse aggregate
Sand
To find fineness modulus
Coarse aggregate
To find aggregate of size "
It refers to the degree of coarseness lower value ----- finer sand (less porous concrete) higher value ----- coarser sand (more porous concrete)
Purpose:
Used to find vol. of coarse agg in mix design of concrete

PURPOSE:
It is done to find out coarse agg. of size
Procedure:
Pass coarse agg of different sizes from sieve until we get 95% of agg retained on it.
Purpose:
Proportioning of cement, sand, crush and water

Purpose:
Consistency Workability
Workability
A good mix design must be capable of being placed and compacted, with minimal bleeding and segregation, and be finishable.
Consistency
Consistency indicates amount of water used in the mix. Or it indicates the water cement ratio.
Segregation of aggregates
Porous Concrete
Pouring of concrete Layers of 7.5 cm depth. Each layer is rammed 25 times. After few minutes mould is lifted. The extent by which the concrete drops is called the slump.
