You are having a Christmas party and you have to make sugar cookies. One dozen of cookies requires 3 cups of flour. Depending on the number of people that show up you will have to make up to four dozen of cookies

Reasoning
The reason why you use six cups of flour for two dozen is because you are doubling the recipe so if three cups makes 12 than six cups makes 24 and same for three and four dozen.
