1. Name three essential components of habitat (things animals need to survive). A.Water B.Shelter C.Food 2. Explain what caused the increase of deer during the activity you participated in. When the deer take the resource they needed at that year 3. Explain what caused the decrease of deer during the activity you participated in. When the deer cant get there resources 4. Define the term limiting factor. Give examples of limiting factors for the deer in our activity. The limiting factor were the resources because if they wasnt enough to supply the whole population there would be a decrease

5. Graph the data from the activity and attach to this sheet (make sure to correctly title and label The axes). Describe what the graph of our data looks like. How and why did our deer population change?

Our deer population change because the deers need resourse and if they cant they die, and making them resources. And if there is enough resources for everyone then the population is up. That is why the graph goes up and down 6. Often we use the phrase balance of nature to describe a healthy ecosystem. Based on our graph, what does the balance of nature look like? Should we expect populations to be static (unchanging) or do they naturally fluctuate? Explain. this graph was a unbalance, as you can see the graph goes up and down because of the resource werent enough. We should expect them to fluctuate because that is the natures way. Unless there would be more resource the population can increase

7. What did you learn about population dynamics by doing this activity? More of the resources available the population increases. And if there are any resources there is a dramatic fall. And that the carrying capacity of deer is around 20-25 deer in this lab.
