Progress Code and Evaluation Policy

CD Consistently Displayed the child consistently displays an understanding of the concepts or behaviors. P Progressing/Developing the child is progressing towards an understanding of the concepts or behaviors. N Not Yet Evident the child has not yet demonstrated an understanding of the concepts or behaviors. X Not addressed at this time Assessment for the student is based on their developmental progress focusing on their individual needs. The progress and evaluation is based on a combination of the following:
Tests taken from the curriculum series or teacher made Quizzes Teacher made Observations Assessment questions Checklists/Use of rubrics Journal/Log responses Oral Participation/Cooperative Group Participation Creative writing Projects throughout the year Behavior/Attitude

Effort grades are given according to participation, doing the work, getting it done on time, and showing that the students are doing their best!
