Introduction
What is Image Fusion? e.g. In medical Imaging:

Applications
Medical imaging Satellite image system Land surveying and mapping Geologic surveying Agriculture evaluation Weather forecasting Robot vision Digital camera etc.

Image Fusion using Wavelet transform [1]

Three wavelets: DCT tranform Hadamard transform Kekres tranform Hybrid wavelet transform DCT + Hadamard Hadamard + Kekre Kekre + DCT Apply the wavelet transform on both images. Combine both wavelet using simple averaging. Apply Inverse wavelet transform.

Image Fusion using Hierarchical PCA [2]

PCA + Pyramid Image fusion = Hierarchical PCA Different levels(pyramid) of image can be found by downsampling of image. Pyramid of both images are calculated. Applying PCA (weighted average) at each level. Finally combining all levels to get final image.

Image Fusion using Spatial Unmixing [3]

High Spatial Low Spectral (LISS IV) + Low Spatial High Spectral (LISS III) = High Spatial High Spectral.
