Compile DFMA DFA: Total part count, including theoretical minimum number of parts.

Detailed analysis for each part to reduce number of parts in order to reduce ass embly operations reqd. Finish with new number of parts and a part count efficiency. Discuss standardisation of parts in order to allow purchase of ready-made sub-as semblies. Draw up a new assembly line layout/flow. DFM: Previous reducing of parts reduces manufacturing operations reqd. This also happens because of buying standard parts. Design manufacturing operations that are reqd. Aim for minimum cost at optimum/adequate quality. Remember to consider number of products reqd per time.
