“When you are in the valley, keep your goal firmly in view and you will
get the renewed energy to continue the climb.”
Denis Waitley
Your Network team is prepared to help your school plan their service projects.
Click here to learn more about the Service in Schools Initiative as well as organizations
interested in partnering with New York City schools on their service projects.
When working with your Network Leaders on campus management issues, please emphasize
that they should be working to find the best solutions for ALL students on campus when
they are asked to participate in the second step of the arbitration process.
Please review this detailed, updated information about 09-10 G&T testing, which will also be
included in next week’s Principals’ Weekly. E-mail the Accountability Service Desk with
questions.
8. REGENTS POLICY
Action required: schools
As schools appeal accountability decisions made last year, SED asks that all schools and
staff review the regents scoring policy and the finality of that process included on pages 13
-15 of the most recent Regents administration manual. We will include this request in the
next Principals’ Weekly.
OPPORTUNITIES
The NYC MET Team will e-mail Network Leaders next week with a list of the schools in
their network that are most likely to meet the project’s selection criteria, and asks that
networks reach out to these principals to discuss their potential participation in the study.
For questions or more information, please contact David Osborne or visit the MET website
