The nurse commits negligence because the she failed to execute the physicians order with utmost care,certainty and clarity. She should know and understand the action or effects of the drug, so that she would be able to administer it properly. As a nurse she should also know the emergency measures if something happen to her patient while she's administering the medication and the nurse should know the right dosage of the medication before administering it.
