After 30 years as editor of Construction Law Letter, Paul Sandori has retired from the post. Apart from continuing his work as senior consultant with Revay and Associates Limited, Paul is now working on the fifth edition of the book Bidding & Tendering: What is the Law?, which he co-authored with William M. Pigott. He is also preparing the second edition of his own book on the historical roots of the science of Mechanics, entitled The Logic of Machines and Structures. The new editor is Markus Rotterdam, Dipl.-Jur., LL.M., legal researcher at Glaholt LLP. Markus is co-author of The Law of ADR in Canada: An Introductory Guide (LexisNexis, 2011); Halsburys Laws of Canada, Construction (LexisNexis, 2008) and Halsburys Laws of Canada, Alternative Dispute Resolution (LexisNexis, 2009). He has also authored and co-authored numerous published articles and presentations and has provided the primary research and front-line editing for Construction, Builders and Mechanics Liens in Canada, 7th edition, Conduct of a Lien Action, Annotated Ontario Construction Lien Act, and Conduct of a Trust Action (Carswell). After graduating from law school at RuhrUniversitt Bochum in Germany in 1994, Markus received a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1997. Markus holds an Academy Certificate from The Hague Academy of International Law, Netherlands (1992).
