ConnectKey Apps. Solutions made simple. To help simplify your work, weve created a new category of solutions: Xerox ConnectKey Apps. Like traditional software solutions, ConnectKey Apps extend the capabilities of your multifunction printer. They help you make the most of your hardware investment.
Unlike traditional software, ConnectKey Apps do not require a dedicated server, PC or IT resource. Instead, ConnectKey Apps are lightweight, serverless print app solutions you can download to your ConnectKey multifunction printer via USB or Xerox CentreWare Internet Services. Simple.

Question 1 2 What is a ConnectKey App? Do ConnectKey Apps replace traditional Xerox Extensible Interface Platform (EIP) solutions? What ConnectKey Apps are available? Answer ConnectKey Apps are small, installable software applications for your Xerox ConnectKey MFP. No, ConnectKey Apps do not replace traditional solutions. They extend the capabilities of ConnectKey MFPs, which is enabled by the newest version of EIP. Quick Print: Gain easy, one-touch printing access to useful les from Xerox such as calendars, posters and brochures. Quick Scan to Email: Create a personalized, one-touch email destination for scanned documents. Mobile Print Links: Simplify and streamline your Mobile Print / Mobile Print Cloud app experience with QR codes. Heres how it works:  Youll be directed to the Apple or Android app store to download the free Xerox Mobile Print App by scanning the QR code from your smart phone.  Your Mobile Print / Cloud printer will auto-select using your app and the QR code Info App Demo: View a demonstration of the ConnectKey Info App that is coming soon. This customizable application will offer different ways to share information and communicate with your users. All ConnectKey MFPs support ConnectKey Apps Available now: Xerox WorkCentre 5800 Series, WorkCentre 7800 Series Available Q2: WorkCentre 7200 Series, Xerox ColorQube 9300 Series, ColorQube 8700, ColorQube 8900 You can download ConnectKey Apps from www.ofce.xerox.com/ connectkey/apps and then install via USB or Xerox CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS). No account is needed, but you need to be logged in as the device administrator in order to download a ConnectKey App on an MFP. Anyone with a ConnectKey MFP can download the apps.

Question 8 How are ConnectKey Apps installed on a device? Answer You can install ConnectKey Apps by placing them on a USB drive and installing them at the device. Or you can install them by saving the app to your PC hard drive and then install using CWIS. It varies by device and ConnectKey App, but generally less than 2 minutes. You must have administrator permissions to install ConnectKey Apps on the device. Xerox Extensible Interface Platform (EIP) must be enabled at the device (on by default). You can only install each ConnectKey App once per ConnectKey MFP. You have to install the ConnectKey Apps on each ConnectKey MFP individually. Yes, the administrator of the Mobile Print Cloud solution must first print out a Welcome Page at the server before the app will be fully functional. Answer Visit the ConnectKey App website at www.ofce.xerox.com/connectkey/apps. Your feedback is valuable to us. To submit your feedback, please send an email to connectkey.apps.feedback@xerox.com. ConnectKey Apps are secured and digitally signed to prevent unauthorized apps from being installed on your MFP. No additional impact should be expected on your network. No, the ConnectKey Quick Print app and the print functionality within the Mobile Print Links app will not function when either Xerox Standard Accounting or Xerox Network Accounting is enabled at the device.
