The Late Great Nelson Mandela

No man made a greater sacrifice than Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela grew up in South Africa and lived there all his life. Nelson was born July 18, 1918. He became the South African President. Nelson was president for 5 whole years. Nelson was never afraid to stand up for his beliefs. For standing up for his own beliefs, he was sent to jail for his 27 years. Mandela had to stay locked up sitting for years and years and years. Mandela made one of the most immense self sacrifices ever. It changed how America and Africa lives today. Nelson dedicated his life to the struggle for racial equality in Africa. Because of him this world is a better place. So we all thank Nelson Mandela for all the great things he accomplished for you and me.
