Sir, I am a non resident Indian. I purchased house no. 1240, sector 42B, Chandigarh on 21st December 2007 at Rs. 75,00,000.00 and now I have entered into an agreement to sell with Mr. Sunit Singhi S/o Sh. Madan Raj and Smt. Pratibha Singhi wife of Sh. Sunit Singhi both residents of H.No. 110, Sector 24, Chandigarh and Smt. Krishna Devi wife of Sh. Brahma Dutta r/o H.No. 110, Sector 24, Chandigarh to sell the said property on 29th January 2014 for Rs. 2,33,00,000.00. The capital gain on sale of said property is Rs. 1,04,11,433.00 as per details given below:-

I have deposited the above said amount of tax in mode of advance tax vide challan no 00001 for Rs. 14,15,540.00 and challan no. 00002 for Rs. 9,43,693.00, BSR Code 0001524 dated 29/01/2014. So, you are requested to issue me certificate under sections 197 for no deduction of tax in favour of Mr. Sunit Singhi s/o Sh. Madan Raj and Smt. Pratibha Singhi wife of Sh. Sunit Singhi and Smt. Krishna Devi wife of Sh. Brahma Dutta.
