An eventful 2013

New kids on the block!some of the new children whose support was secured in 2013: Karungi, Mughanyiri, Nyakaisiki and Ajuna, thanks to Terra Foundation, Elsbeth, Eric, Etty Faith, Lynne, Ryan, and Taletta. Karungi lives with her 85 year old grandmother, Mughanyiri lives with his widowed mother in the Rwenzori mountains, Nyakaisikis mother died five years ago while Ajunas mother has cancer of the legs and is bed-ridden. Other new children include Kakama, Priscilla and Kato, Despite their problems, these children are committed to studying hard at school and thanks to their benefactors, they now have a better chance of achieving their dreams. Our deep appreciation goes to our many kind and committed supporters from Germany, Kenya, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Uganda and the United States of America.

Faith, on holiday from US, visited Ensi children at school and now supports a child. Her visit gave great encouragement to the children. Many thanks to Hans a committed Ensi supporter for raising funds for over 25 children from kind supporters in The Netherlands Thanks also to Adyeri of ASK, Dortmund, Germany for raising funds from many kind supporters for school fees and projects Samuel, an Ensi champion who regularly checked on the children was sadly taken seriously ill in November 2013

Coming soon!

Koi Koi, a private organization that supports Ensi, opens its cultural centre soon. A multi-purpose building (left picture) will stage childrens competitions and show educational and cultural films. A container on the site is being converted into a childrens learning and entertainment centre. Mrs. Nyakairu, the 94 year-old philanthropist owner of Koi Koi, stands near the container, shielded by reeds. When you stay at Koi Koi, a percentage of the accommodation charge goes towards Ensi projects.
