TRIGEMINAL NEURALGIA

CLINICAL FEATURES
Intense shooting,stabbing pain(can mimmic the pain of a cracked tooth) Characterstic feature-electric shock like,unilateral. Precipitated by light touch on a trigger zone present on the skin or mucosa. Common sites-nasolabial fold & corner of lip. Shaving,showering,eating,speaking,or even wind can trigger a painful episode & patients often protect the trigger zone with their hand or on article of clothing.

 Number of attacks may vary from one o rtwo per day to several per minute.
