Getting Familiar With the R/3 SAPGUI The SAPGUI is the SAP R/3 user interface. It is a specially designed browser client to access R/3 transactions. This chapter demonstrates the most important ways to navigate through R/3 and tells you how to call transactions (programs) and how to find interesting technical details about them.
Every SAP screen has a 20 command window where transaction codes can be entered Figure 1:
After you have successfully logged into your R/3 system you will see the session screen. On the top left corner of your session screen there is a command window. Starting with SAPGUI release 4.6 this command line window can be made visible and invisible by clicking the little arrow next to it, while in earlier releases of the SAPGUI the command line windows has always been visible.
