Once Upon a time in Bethlehem

It was a cold winter night, And the stars were shining bright, All the creatures were waiting the light, Of the birth of he who would save us by giving his life. Here are the parents looking around, If theres someone who would give them a place, Even a small one, even in the ground, Where the mother could give birth to the son of the human race. The one who would set us free from evil and sin, Here comes the small child, the little Jesus Christ, He was placed on the poor cradle, among humble things, Because he was humble since his birth till his death. Nearby, the angels appeared, Giving the message of hope, to those who believed, To a group of shepherds, upon the hills. Here comes the gospel, finally youll be redeemed. On a poor craddle, youll find a little child, Next to the animals, full of charm. The Angels sang loud, the shepherds smiled, "Our savior was born", and the hearts were warm. Lets fin our savior, said the smallest one, "Wrapped on diapers, lying in a manger, youll find him", Said the angels in a crowd. All of them were singing around "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." Thus, the shepherds went and saw, The glory of God shining below, Among his parents taking care of their son. While the ox and the mule were braying of joy. The son of God has finally come. The Magi arrived too, They brought gifts to the Lord, Gold, frankincense and myrrh, What a great joy and love! And thats how it happened, Thats how it blazed, The love of God spread around the place, To love everyone around the world, Cause he came to earth to save us all. Author: Pablo Barrera, 2013
