1st Annual OU Chinese Talent Show To promote the learning of Chinese at OU, the Chinese program in the department

t of MLLL, the OU Confucius Institute, and the Chinese Language Club are co-organizing the 2013 OU Chinese Talent Show. Organizers: Chinese Program in the department of MLLL OU Confucius Institute Chinese Language Club 2. Participants OU students who are learning Chinese or have an interest in Chinese 3. Types of performances - Sing a Chinese song - Perform a skit in Chinese (needs to be creative and fun; can be part of your class requirements) - Showcase your talent, with an element of Chinese such as speech, poetry recital, etc. 4. Important dates: - March 29: Sign up with your instructor. Provide the title of your performance and names of the performers - March 29 April 5: Prepare for your performance. You are strongly encouraged to seek help from your instructors in preparing for the performance. - April 5: Submit a video/audio of your performance electronically to clc@ou.edu for audition - April 10: Notify final contestants - April 19 1:30-5:00pm: Rehearsal at Dale Hall Room 200 - April 19 5:30pm: Reception at Dale Hall Room 200 - April 19 6:00-8:30pm: Final contest at Dale Hall Room 200 5. Awards: First place, Second place, Third place, special category prizes (best performance, best pronunciation, best creativity, etc [TBA]), and several honorable mentions. Certificate, trophy and prizes will be awarded to the winners. 6. Raffle prize Raffle prize will be available at the final contest. Anyone who attends the event has the chance of winning a gift card. 1.
