December 10, 2012 Dear Ms.

Munguia Nunez:
It is our pleasure to inform you that you have been selected for the 2013 Woodrow Wilson-Rockefeller Brothers Fund Fellowship for Aspiring Teachers of Color. Having reviewed your application materials carefully and having met you during the interview process, we believe that you possess the skills and attributes to become an excellent educator. Congratulations! As a 2013 Fellow, you join a national network of over 20,000 Woodrow Wilson Fellows. These Fellows, recognized with various awards from the Woodrow Wilson Foundation over the course of the last six decades, include Nobel Laureates, Pulitzer Prize winners, and MacArthur Genius Fellows, as well as respected intellectual and educational leaders. Your selection to join this network, representing a new generation of teachers, is further testimony to the promise our selection committee sees in you. As you know, selection for this Fellowship was highly competitive. In order to ensure that we are able to contact wait-listed candidates in a timely fashion, we ask that you inform us whether you will accept or decline the Fellowship no later thanThursday, January 3, 2013. Please notify us of your decision by completing, signing, and returning the acceptance form that is being mailed to your permanent address. Please note that acceptance is contingent on you being accepted and enrolling in an eligible graduate program for initial teacher certification. If you need assistance in finding a graduate program that will best serve your interests and prepare you for a high-needs K-12 classroom, feel free to contact us via phone at 609-452-7007, ext.141 or e-mail wwteachingfellowship@woodrow.org. The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation will issue a public press release to announce the selection of the 2013 WW-RBF Fellowship awards in mid-January. We request that you and your institution wait until the Foundations press release before issuing any other public announcements to news outlets and on social networking forums. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerely,

Audra Watson Program Director
