Definition

To remove the excretory product/ toxic waste from the body


The waste can be in solid, liquid or

gaseous state

EXCRETORY ORGAN
Human excretory organ consist of
Skin
Lungs

Kidneys

SKIN

Removes excess water, mineral

salts and urea in form of sweat. The process is called sweating Sweat is removed from the sweat glands through the sweat pores located on the surface of the skin

LUNGS

Removes water and carbon dioxide The process is called exhalation

Water is removed from the lungs in

form of water vapour Carbon dioxide in blood capillaries diffuse back into the alveolus and is removed from the lungs during exhalation

KIDNEY

Removes water, mineral salts and

urea. The process is called urinating The waste products are brought by the blood to the kidneys. Waste products are excreted as urine.
