    Unfailing Fire

    High on this mountain far from winter We dont need a fire but light one anyway Like you it is warm and bright Like you the fire speaks A voice familiar fireside All eyes wide Crack Pop Sizzle Bizzztt Pssspphttt! As the edges alight, flare, fizzle, and then fade Youre Roaring Core Remains Delighted by this mystery Amazed by your steadfast heart Humbled by this unfailing fire That warms me Endlessly How long do I need to sit by this flame Before realizing That this blaze has caught hold of me? The Divine in you touching the Divine in me.
